amplifier get hot and trips...y this happens?

i have jbl cs60.4 4 channel amp. used to run 2 pineer 10" spekers with 2 channles after 15 minutes it got hot and tripped..then got new jl 10" w3v2 dual 2 ohm sub..wired to get 4 ohm load and connected to amp by bridging rest 2 channel..
now th sound had been worse.its like amp is not able to deliver power ant more..at very low volume it is ok..but when i turn up..all the lights on amp starts dimming..and head unit too dims. my sound had goten wrose..and it doesnt even seem like th woofer is used..when woofer is removed it is back to normal again. my gain settings are good ..m using gold plated rca cables.. head unit have 3 volt output..the sub load is 4 ohm not 1 ohm..even then thisis happening ..is the amp damaged

Crazy thing happend to me to, my problem was within the wiring i had someone do i for me and they had a very bad ground. i re-ran the wiring and it worked, also after i bought my civic i wired up 2 jbl 12"s and a 601 amp and i would come on and kick off, my altenator was pushing out like 15 volts and blowing my amp fuses left and right.
