Protect Your Company Truck with a Wheel Chock
Putting on a truck wheel chock is the best thing you can do to protect your company truck and property around it. Whether you work in an industrial field or service industry, your security in knowing that your truck won't roll away is worth the extra couple of minutes it takes to put the chock in place. Accidents can happen when we don't properly follow safety instructions, and that's why they're there.
If you're the one who is purchasing the chocks, you will be able to find a truck wheel chock in all sorts of varieties, made out of different materials. But even if you won't be the one buying them, it's a good idea to know what's available to assure that you are using the proper chock. Below are listed a few choices of materials they can be made of that are on the market. You can find them online or at auto and truck supply stores.
Rubber wheel chocks – These are mostly used in utility and telephone fleets and are typically black in color and made to resist UV rays, moisture, salt and oils. Recycled rubber construction makes them an eco-friendly choice.
Urethane Wheel Chocks – These heavy duty wheel chocks are most often used with over-the-road trucks and trailers, that is, semi trucks that pull goods and services in a trailer across the country. The brightly colored chocks are specified by OSHA for safety. A more specialized truck wheel chock is made for fire equipment that is highly resistant to oils, fuels and solvents and is rated specifically for fire equipment. They have an aluminum base plate for superior gripping power in all conditions.
Metal wheel chocks – Some of these can be found that are more compact and lighter weight than the rubber or urethane and can be folded down for a smaller storage space need.
In addition to the types of materials the chocks are made of are the options on the chocks themselves. The rubber chock can be void with a space in the middle for lighter carrying or solid through. It can be footed or not with an ice cleat or steel grate. Depending on weather conditions and road terrain, you may need to have more than one chock in your garage or just be safe and purchase the most heavy duty chock available.
Any truck Wheel Chocks should come with instructions and possibly illustrations on installing the chocks properly, and if not, most likely you can go online to get it.

Phone #1: "Sony's Acoustic Twin Turbo circuit enhances sound quality and the high quality 16mm driver units and neodymium magnets reproduce deep bass and clear treble sound."
Phone #2: "headphones boast big sound and sophisticated style, with powerful 16mm drivers for high volume and crisp audio quality. The neodymium magnets deliver excellent sound reproduction and the convenient cord slider helps prevent annoying tangles."
Phone #3: The Philips SHE5910 features a reflected-speaker design that creates virtual surround sound effect. Flexi-grip connection prevents cable damage. Unique flexible rubber carrying case. Perfect for iPod customers.
they range from 15 bucks to 25 bucks, cheapest phone listed first. are the descirptions just a bunch of fancy talk, or are they pretty much the same. Phone #3's "virtual" surround sounds interesting, but will a notice be heard?
My personal favorite brand is skull candy. They are all noise cancelling and they can range form $10 to $90. It all depends on which style you want. If you want something small like the apple earbuds then you can get earbuds from skull candy for around $10. Or you can get bigger ones like the bose headphones for around $60. I like the earbuds better, the cancel more noise. If you go to http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/ you can find all the available styles and buy them online. Its a great brand and I have 3 pairs of their headphones! They are also durable and stylish.
