Shielded Aerial Socket Assembly Of - Instructions Needed?
Just bought a shielded dab/digital tv aerial socket, that has a metal central piece inside that you screw the core of the coaxial into, like wiring a plug, and then on the outside of the metal box it has a few ribs of metal, im unsure as to how the shielded part works, when i try connecting it just gives a grainy image on the screen, it seems when you place a piece of metal between the copper braiding of the coaxiall and the inner screw fix the picture works, but cant get it to stay, dont really know what im talking about, help!!!!!
I think you have a compression type of F connector. The link below shows installation procedures. You need a tool to put it on. There are other connectors that don't require tools, they just screw on, but you still need to prepare the cable end.
