The instructions say to use a LITHIUM SOAP BASE GLYCOL GREASE can I substitute w/a general purpose grease?
It's for the clutch release cylinder,I am rebuilding it and no grease came with the kit. The general purpose grease is made up of lithium soap base and thick mineral oil.
no regular grease will contain solvents and will "eat" the seals....Vaseline works just fine tho....
