Are there any TV brackets which mount to a mantle or floor, rather than the wall itself?
I have a customer who wants to mount a flat panel TV above his fireplace. However, the fireplace and the wall above the fireplace is made of stones of varying sizes and depths. This is of course making drilling holes in the stone or mortar a big No No. His mantel is not deep enough to accommodate a very large TV, as the base would be too large to sit on the mantel without hanging off the front.
I cannot seem to find any such thing, but I'd like to see what options we may have for a mount that would bolt down to the mantle. While I'm unsure about such an endeavor, it may be this gentlemen's only option.
Yes, I have seen that. These brackets remain attached to a low height cabinet.
